Marks Mad World
A handwritten black ink banner reading "INKTOBER COUNTDOWN! - I'm IN! #INKTOBER" used to announce Mark's Mad World's participation in the daily analog ink drawing challenge.

Welcome to my little art dumpster on the web. I’ve finally started to consolidate all of my creative stuff—my writings, images, paintings, analog montages, digital montages, and Dada Surreal, and Impressions—a little bit of all of it. Oh, and photography, analog and digital.

I do not wish to coax you into following me, but if you want to tag along while I rebuild that’s okay. Stay if you want and visit often if you want, but keep in mind that I’m an artist. That means I cuss; it means I’m sometimes sloppy; it means I have a lot of feelings, frustrations, and passions that I will never reflect upon a visitor of this site, but just inward and outward to the world. So welcome! It’s growing slowly, but please keep checking back. All right, thank you.

Oh, you may want to start on the roof first, I’m there most of the time.

My latest thing from the Fourth Floor
A 4x6 mixed-media collage titled image_50ec48.png. It features a vintage cutout of a woman receiving poured alcohol into her open head, set against textured red acrylic with the text "GO BACK TO SLEEP," "IT WAS JUST A BAD DREAM," and signed MMW.

September 17, 2026 Howdy. Well, today is my wife’s birthday—she’s 640 years old and sleeping in. I don’t know what we’re going to do yet, but happy birthday, kiddo. Yesterday was my last day in cardiac rehab. I spent most of my summer there; it was a great team, and I let them know they…

    Green-eyed Monsters

    ByMark Posted onSeptember 10, 2026September 10, 2026 1st Floor, Blog Post

September 10, 2026 Hi, I’m sitting here in the car, just staring up into space and dictating this post.  This morning. I was quite emotional working on a 4×6 piece. Am I going a little too far with it? I don’t know, things have been exhausting lately. They’ve just been very exhausting.  This post has…

Third Floor Photo of the Moment

A minimalist black-and-white photo taken in coastal Virginia, showing a lone fisherman seated in a folding chair on a shallow sandbar. A fishing pole stands vertically next to them in the calm ocean water, and a long row of dark wooden breakwater pilings stretches across the horizon under a vast, open sky.
